Oh. My. Fucking. GOD.
My heart just stopped.
My girlfriend is the coolest girl in the world. Seriously.
Point 1: 2004: She got me a subscription to The Wire last year. And renewed it this year.
Point 2: 2005:
For those who don't know me, I am both a Joy Division and Peter Saville nut. (and for those who don't know, Peter Saville did all their (and New Order's) record jackets.) Not as obsessed as I was, say, 10 years ago, but still obsessed. They will both always hold a very special place in my heart.
So there's this poster.... Fac. 1, if you're familiar with the Factory numbering. I have dreamed of owning this poster for probably 10 years.
The original basically doesn't exist. If you're seen 24 Hour Party People, the story about it not being finished in time to use is true. I'm actually not sure if it was even ever printed. If any exist, they are few and far between, and I promise you'll never find one.
I've seen some re-prints before, but who wants a re-print?
This is a silk-screen, made for the show of Saville's work in London a couple years ago.
Numbered edition of 500 (mine is number 200-something), with a certificate of authenticity signed by Saville.
This is as real a version of this as I will ever find. I don't have a clue how she found it.
HOLY. FUCKING SHIT.
I am walking on air right now...
Wow...
P.S.: Firefox 1.5 rules.
