Enjoyed the beginning side-effects of Hurricane Rita over this state called Texas. Expect multiple showers and massive winds beginning late-Sunday through Wednesday for Nature to lash out with frustrated vengeance at humanity. Personally I believe that both hurricanes Katrina and Rita were aiming at the Bush brothers but got sidetracked by congressional oversight to hit the innocent in the pocketbooks instead. Either way, the pirates of greed are taking over in both Louisiana and Texas after both hurricanes are gone.
The Fed gave Halliburton another no-bid contract to help with the cleanup in New Orleans, and since Halliburton/KBR are based in Houston I'd say it'd be a no-brainer the same will happen there next week. We'll see though. Locally there is often no gas and most of the grocery store shelves are bare of non-perishables. My dungeon has stocked up on enough filtered water and cheese nips to last a week, or about the time I'd expect stores to restock. Hurricane Rita was expected to become a Category 1 LAND hurricane but she petered out to a Cat 1 once hitting the coast. So nothing but tornados, heavy rains, and wild winds in my area and south through Houston. Watch the news! LOL!
