Lots of updates to do, and had no internet to do them with! Grrrr! Darned icy winds knocked out my internet access off and on over a week (not to mention pulling major hours at my job). Seems my mom had a collections agency who bought an old debt from another collections agency (which debt has passed through four others before even they touched it) and who illegally gained access to her checking account and wiped thousands of dollars from it w/o permission. She was so upset and stressed out that she supposedly had a heart attack and was in the hospital for a couple of days. She was told she shouldn't travel, but is supposed to fly down here to Texas (I'll pick her up in Dallas for the drive the rest of the way) tomorrow, Sunday. After confirming she is still coming, she seems extremely moody and is (IMHO) going to take it out on me since she hasn't completely recovered from it yet (she's a Cancer, they always have mood swings). *sighs* It's all that I don't need right now when I should be enjoying the happiest times of my life, and only wanted to include her in them. Especially since I had offered to help pay for her lawyer to sue the bloody bastards for violating the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) and associated collections laws in how they've conducted themselves so far. *sighs again* Oh, well. Karma or something.
