Tally-ho! I've gotten the rear drum brake kit, the wheel stud + lugnut, a new front wheel assembly hub, and will be picking up the emergency brake cable tomorrow. All for <$90, and saved a couple hundred $imoleans over the dealer's prices. Also I thought I had purchased Lifetime Warranty brake pads, which were more expensive, and it turned out I was correct. Since my brake pads still have about 35% left on the worn side, and 45%+ on the right side, I can return those brakes to my favorite auto parts store (O'Reilly's) and get them replaced FREE. Now I'm all about saving money, so I can spend it on more worthwhile things like bills!

I've also narrowed the costs for repairs, which would've been $60 for the Maintenance Tune-Up (inspect hoses/belts, adjust timing, replace spark plugs, etc), and $89 for a simple brake pad replacement + rotor turning/machining. I looked at what the discounted packages offered and said NOPE! Spark plugs are a piece of cake to replace, cost less than $5 for four plugs and some spark lube. I can inspect my own hoses/belts (I need to replace one belt but the tune-up doesn't cover that), and replace my own brake pads (plus I have new rotors that have already been turned). I can just ta$te the $aving$ now!

My only costs now are for labor to get the drum kit/e-brake cable and front hub installed, which I've been quoted at $70/hr. I'm estimating two hours for the whole kaboodle to include an oil change. We'll see though.....! wink

Wow...Sounds like you got a pretty good deal! So, what exactly happened to your car? Why do you need all of that repaired?

Hope you are having a good day buddy! smile
