My Thoughts/Struggles On Being Insecure In My Skin

Are there things you are insecure about with your body?

Oh let me count the ways!…

I’ve really been trying to love myself in my own skin. To love the man I am and see how my experiences and choices have shaped me into the incredible person I am today.

But in truth, I am still insecure about my weight (235, 23% body fat). I’m still insecure about my penis size (8 x 5). I’m still insecure about my teeth. And I’m still insecure about my slight lisp.

Once upon a time I was insecure about the color of my skin. I think every biracial kid at some point cries about not being enough of one or the other pigment. I’ve been insecure about being poorer throughout all of it… what I discovered was that I’m the only one who cares about MY shit.

I see myself in this invisible box no one else sees. So I cut the caffeine, I hit the gym, and I spend less. It’s not going to fix everything. But hopefully somewhere along the way I’ll figure out I’m a pretty cool guy.

That's so nice that you're trying to do something about your insecurities! Hope you can feel better soon, I'm sure you're a really nice guy. My main insecurity concerns my appearance in general, most days I feel like I'm 100% trash, but slowly trying to change that

When you are aware of what you are feeling and try to understand all of this, it is already a great start. Trying to know yourself is the best thing. I have a lot of insecurities, be it with my body, with my choices, with my future, but I try not to sabotage myself and understand that every particularity makes us unique
