It's not sexy... in fact I almost didn't share it. It's the FIRST picture I took on my first DSLR (I took photography in high school... but I didn't GET a camera until my kid was born). The room is a mess, he's pouting because Daddy is not paying attention to him instead I'm holding a plastic box in front of my face and clicking the button. But what you don't see...
We had moved in with my in laws (their house), on the bookshelf behind is my college books... Criminal Justice, I didn't finish but it was ME striving for something better for US. The chair is my wife's great grandmother's childhood chair that was passed down.
Now as my boys (TWO now...) get bigger and bigger every day... I remember WHY I picked up the camera again. Life is speeding by... sometimes too fast to even notice. But in these pictures I'm able to freeze time. I can't hug or kiss this little snuggly monkey anymore (he just started Kindergarten), but looking at this picture I remember the days of napping and snuggling and laughing. THIS is my heaven and my reason for breathing!
