The Motorcycle Diaries is a beautiful film. Except at some points, it would have been helpful to hear Gael/ Che as a narrator over certain scenes.

At one point I turned to my girlfriend and whispered, "In the book he says that the entire spirit of their people rests in that one phrase." She let out a long, "Oh." I know it's sometimes annoying when people are all, "The book is better blah blah blah." But I think having read the book will help anyone get a better understanding of what's going on in this film, in particular.

Great book. Great film.
