I feared jumping on the bandwagon when I first heard some of the music...but now after listening to the whole album all the way through...

I'm a fan of Lorde. Not even ashamed of it. I rarely pick up new radio artists and listen to them. The last band to burn me? M83. I thought they'd be something I liked...but I was sorely mistaken. Which is why I stay pre-2008(ish) with my music.
