My Itunes is finally working again. After not being able to start it without it instantly crashing I was starting to get frustrated as hell. Well last night I and this morning I spent hours removing/reinstalling, screwing up, then starting over again and finally have it working again. There have been a ton of SG Playlists that I have missed due to not being able to scroll through my tunes.
First up one of the older ones SG BBQ Playlist.
To me BBQs have chill music that doesn't necessarily stand out with all the conversation and commotion that go with a BBQ. Yet each song everyone would stop and sing along to if any stopped to listen for a moment.
The Dirty Heads - Lay Me Down
I think every time my friends and I BBQ we play this song at least once. There is even a good chance we will bust out the guitars and play it ourselves.
The Dirty Heads - Cabin by the Sea
A song about chilling at the beach with no worries and just making memories. Perfect BBQ vibe in my opinion.
Ice Cube - It Was A Good Day
My favorite song by my black twin (don't ask me its everyone else that thinks I look like him). Probably the only rap song I know the lyrics to the whole song. Why not have a song about a good day at a BBQ when you are having a good day. Too on the nose maybe?
Jack Johnson - Badfish/Boss DJ
Excellent cover. More mellow and soothing vibes. Swing in the hammock and drink a beer.
Pepper - Ashes
Great sing along song. Great to bob your head to as your flipping burgers on the grill.
Slightly Stoopid - Closer to the Sun
Chill yet the guitar work can't be ignored.
Sublime - 40 oz to Freedom
I can't think of a BBQ I have been to that this song hasn't played. Its almost impossible for my generation of so-cal groms.
311 - Sunset in July
They stated in interviews that they specifically wrote this song to be a summer BBQ jam. Mission Accomplished.
There you have it. Dave's So Cal Summer BBQ Jams. SG Playlists brought to you by @missy and @rambo as always.
Cheers,
Dave
