As soon as the SG Playlist homework was started by @missy and @rambo I knew it was only a matter of time before a Break Up playlist made an appearance. I had an elaborate plan with making sections of songs for the different stages of break ups: the F YOU phase, weepy/depressed, acceptance, first sighting/encounter after, etc.

Well know that it's time I am gonna...

wow, you make me want to get back into music. I sulk in my bipolar crap a lot and start excluding things i enjoyed a lot, like good music, you are reminding me  a lot about all the great stuff that is out there :D
electriceye22:
@colchicine there is a tons of great stuff out there but there are loads of crap too but some are good loads of crap that fit a particular mood/state of being.

First blog homework I have done in awhile. This week's topic from @missy and @rambo is "What are you an expert in?" At first I couldn't think of anything so I was going to skip this one. Then it came to me.

I am an expert bullshitter. Now hear me out. I am a master at coming up with convincing opinions on various subjects without

I feel that most genres of film have their merits and purpose. Comedies make us laugh, find the humor in things we normally wouldn't, and provide cheer when we are down. Dramas show perseverance, the pain of human existence, and the complicated thing we call life. Horror is there to get the adrenaline going and keep our fight or flight instincts about us. The list...

Yeah, this is an annoying trend. I've noticed a lot of African-American filmmakers are doing these "victim movies". It's really frustrating when we're so diverse. We don't have to ape what everybody else is doing in Hollywood. Black movies should be the next Bollywood, instead we put out dreck like this or anything by Tyler Perry.
electriceye22:
@oldernow thanks for reading.  I try to use my brain every once in awhile.  It is disturbing how vicitim culture/conditioning is so widely perpetuated.  You see people making comments like I wish I had a boyfriend like *insert tv/film/book character* and all I can think is "You know he is an abusive dick bag right?"  It seems that many disregard or overlook mental abuse as well.  Just because the person isn't hitting you doesn't mean they aren't abusive.  I applaud your work even without knowing based solely on the fact that if you can get through to one person the world is better off for it.

If you give my opinion any sort of weight listen to be about this.

Go check out @elphin 's new set Sunday Morning. She's such a babe and her eyes will slay you, no joke.

Go give her and the set some love. DO IT!

If you want to feel old just look back at music you listened to in High School. Half or more of these bands aren't together anymore or only have a couple people left from the original line up. All of these songs (and bands) were on repeat in high school. Be it driving around in the desert out here, going to a party, having a...

I loooove the distillers
electriceye22:
@colchicine they were SO damn good.  I wish Brody would do another album, it doesn't have to necessarily be the distillers, but something more punk then Spinnerette and Diploid Love.  Then again she's a mega babe and I will listen to anything she ever puts out.

When @rambo gave out this particular playlist homework I had no idea what she meant by Sunday morning. After listening to a few I figure its mellow, dreamy, lazy in bed, not going to hurt your head cause you're hungover music.

The Album Leaf - the Light

Deftones - Entombed

The Dirty Heads - The Warming Sun

Meiko - Hawaii

The Moody Blues - Tuesday...

Part 3 brings us to the SG Summer Road Trip Playlist. All these songs make me either think of summer or travel. Some are songs that we had on repeat during road trips in the past. This one is pretty eclectic compared to the others.

America - Horse with No Name

The American Dollar - Rudiments of a Spiritual Life

The Black Keys - Hard...

So when I made part 1 I figured I would put up 2 or 3 that day....and that didn't happen so the flooding never happened. Today will be that day however. I have a5 made up and I just need to post the actual blogs about them. You may tend to see many artists repeated. I tried to make sure I wasn't using the same...

My Itunes is finally working again. After not being able to start it without it instantly crashing I was starting to get frustrated as hell. Well last night I and this morning I spent hours removing/reinstalling, screwing up, then starting over again and finally have it working again. There have been a ton of SG Playlists that I have missed due to not being able...

@ivylina aw thats lame well you can look up different versions of those song til you find one that works.  The uploader must not know about you or they would want Russians watching their videos.  Did you see the other ones I did recently? I forgot to tag you in them.
ivylina:
Yes, I might do that :) Hahahah I wish I could contact the uploader and say "Hey man, you've made a mistake!" :D Yes, I've seen them, but I'm taking it up slow and enjoying every song. Don't really want to listen to them matter-of-factly :)
