OK, I just sent an application to have a group for magicians here on SG. Hopefully it will get approved. I'm pretty sure it would be good group for SG to have, there are a few groups that include magicians but having a closed to the public group would be an advantage because a lot of the things we like to talk about fall under the category of "magician's secrets", having someplace to openly talk about these things would be a great help.
I had to go in for jury duty today.We all spent about three hours doing nothing. Two of the trials scheduled to start today were continued and the third, as well as the few that could have started today, all the defendants plead guilty. What a way to spend a day off. I get a jury duty notice about once a year, I'm getting to the point I'm going to demand to be on a jury instead of driving to downtown KCK and sitting around for a few hours.
Oh, and speaking of magic, I finished my new wand. Yes, I use a wand. It's about 16" long and solid brass. It's a little heavy but it's better than my last wand. It is wood with brass tips and in my last performance, I flicked my wand and the end popped off and shot across the room. It took about 20 minutes to find after the show was over.
