It's kind of hard to write a blog entry when you don't really feel like talking. I did get the promotion but I'm stuck at my current store until they find someone (actually at least two people maybe three from what the store manager has said) before I can go. They are supposedly interviewing someone know who can pick up the slack so I can go to the other store; it kind of sucks. Speaking of things that suck, the whole online dating thing has just been a colossal waste of time and money. Keep in mind this is far from my first time and I've always had great success with it before, but for some reason this time it's harder than hell to find someone to chat with, not to mention the fact that for some reason the thought of actually meeting anyone in person is beyond these people's skill set. Online is fine, but real life is so much better; at least it used to be. Maybe the definition of online dating has become just that, dating online and I didn't get the notification. The people I do meet in real life are nice for the most part but have all of the imagination and sense of adventure of a garden gnome. No, not the Travelocity Gnome, he's cool. I want to find someone who can actually get excited about something, and at this point, I don't care what. So far these people's trinity of personality has been work, TV and food and those can only go so far in conversation. OK, so that isn't entirely true. I've had a few who have emailed me then expected me to rush right over and perform vile and perverse acts with them. Now I'm not opposed to vile and perverse acts but damn, I'd like to get to know more about you besides your pic and that you're horny. After all, I do have standards; they're not high but I do have them. One of those standards is that I actually have to like you before anything happens. Just because you have the right parts doesn't mean you automatically meet all of the qualifications. Who knows, maybe I really am just getting too old for this crap. Yeah, over the hill at 37, someone shoot me now. Maybe I just need to find a constructive mid life crisis to have? You know, start dating a 19 year old, drive a sports car and act like an ass. Well, maybe not. I can't afford a sports car and to tell the truth, 19 year olds are usually dumber than dirt. As far as acting like an ass goes, I've been doing that all my life.
I need to leave early so I can stop up at the hobby store so I can get some brass tubing, rods and plates. I have finely decided on what mechanics I'm putting into my ventriloquist dummy that I've wanted to rebuild for a few years. The original set of mechanics well, they just sucked. And yes, for those who didn't know I'm a ventriloquist. Make any cracks and I'll be sure to embarrass the hell out of you in public with a voice coming out of your ass begging you to stop shoving cucumbers up there anymore. I bought his head, torso and hands pre-made from an online store and to tell the truth, I've never been all that happy with the head. Don't get me wrong, it's a good sculpt, the jaw works fine but the trap door in the head doesn't fit well and there are a few other 'minor' problems with it that shows this guy's lack of attention to detail. I'm trying to fix everything this time and it's been kind of a pain in the ass.
