We're not doing too badly, we recycle paper, cardboard, tins, bottles, glass. Our boiler is off 99.9% of the time, nothing on standby in the house, lightbulbs all energy saving. There's always more to be done though.

Hey.

go see our film, if it's still playing at the SIFF, othewise you'll have to wait till it's back in theaters in July.

Yeah the first guy said something about you being nude in it being better. So I do not really have to say it. I do vehemently agree though. Not the sort of thing for that site. I am reminded what a beautiful amazing person you are.

the fast track?

recently i undertook a self-directed experiement in something western culture has dubious regaurd for, the lesser known ( in this country ) practice or observance of fasting.

for the last 24 hours, i have done a trial run on fasting. or, i voluntarily stopped eating any solid food for this period. i drank only water and a little (6 oz.) fresh carrot...

fasting is great. it can be a very rewarding -if someone difficult to describe -experience. doing it for long periods requires some prep and consideration though. a day or two is a good start though. there's been interesting material lately on how the body actually needs to fast in order to function properly.

warming trends

recently i have been reading
a bit more about global warming.
i know it is ever becoming
a more and more popular
topic of debate.

personally none of this is
shocking news to me. intuitively ive
been aware of it for many years now.

however, geologists, climatologists
and other scientific
sectors must be losing thier
shit by now. what can we do?
not...

Very nicely put. I just think... I don't know, sometimes I just think that there are too many people who either (a) don't understand or (b) don't care. Surely, all the rich countries have the money and the technology to, for example, break our addiction to oil and gas. Sometimes I want to shake people and ask them if they really understand how fucked we all are. Using up oil like it's air.

As for the earth itself... I think in time, once we're all gone, the earth will survive and recover and flourish... I'm just not very optimistic about us human beans in the short term.

Its a pity that the Americans refuse to sign the treaty on greenhouse gas emisions... seems extraordinary to me....you're right it all so terribly frightening that we kep barreling along towards the big bang...all in aid of greed.

It is said among Buddhists that when you meet a fellow boddishavta on the road, you must greet him with neither words nor silence.

This leaves you a vast array of barnyard animal noises from which to choose from.
