Didn't go see Cloverfield.
Went to town and got insanely drunk and partied all night.
Forgot what it was to have so much fun.
I'm still buzzing.
Hungover but buzzing.
Penny stayed all night at my mums house.
Awesome.
And apparently she's out right walking now.

we are doing great. he had his four month checkup today and is as healthy as can be biggrin ive joined a couple of local SAHM groups so weve been getting out more and meeting new people. theres even a woman that has a baby boy that is only 4 days older than asher. s, now, as long as i keep in touch with her asher will have a buddy his own age to play with as he gets older biggrin

So tell me your experiences with moving to a different country.
We have this idea to move.
It probably won't be for another 2 years, but it's an idea.
And one I'm quite keen on.
I think I've talked about this before.
But yeah. I don't have any idea how you go about moving to a different country.

Having done it repeatedly, I can tell you:

1.) It's extremely stressful.
2.) It's extremely expensive.
3.) It's awesome.

I agree with Smith on points 2 & 3.
Personally, I didn't find it stressful the two times I did it, but I was doing it alone. You have a partner and a kid, so that's definitely an issue.

With that said, however, my parents claim that the best and easiest time to travel at all is while the kid is young. It's definitely cheaper that way, too.


If you research your destination well, and do as much as you can do without actually being there, you'll find it's a pretty simple process. Just make sure you always have a Plan B for every step you intend to take.
(e.g. I expected to find a place to live when I moved within 2 weeks, but it ended up taking 5 months -- plan for shit like this to happen and you'll do fine)
