Barack Obama is now the President-Elect of The United States of America. I am overjoyed by this turn of events. This is a vindication of the American People's ability to put racial tension away. This is a vindication of the American Public's desire for a change in domestic and foreign policy. This is a vindication of the American Dream being alive and well.
I can only hope that his opponents will listen to him and work with him to make this country a better place; not work against him.
I can go to bed tonight a proud and happy man. Thank you to everyone who voted in this election, be they supporters of Obama or McCain or a third candidate. You've done your civic and patriotic duty today and you should be proud.
