So, life has carried me to the ends of the earth and back. To be a little more specific, Barrow, AK. Barrow is the northern most population in North America. What, you haven't been there? You are missing NOTHING. Its a pretty big shit hole where people leave their trash in the streets and drink 2 or 3 gallons of R&R a day. Seriously. My husband was comparing cop notes with a buddy of his who is a Lakewood cop and he said "if people here had the same blood alcohol level as people there they'd be dead." We're talking like .4 and shit. Remember over legal limit is .08 A lot of child molestation there and suicide. I swear, they should chip the whole place off of the continent and let it sink.

Brett got hurt badly in the academy. He is recovering. But he has to quit before he gets fired in order for him to become a cop again EVER. So... I'm staying with the in-laws. My family of 3 are all sharing a 8x10 room. The boy is about to start kindergarten. Which makes me happy and sad. My husband and I will both be looking for full time work. Ah, what shitacular time! Honestly, I'm glad to be out of Barrow and back in civilization. You know, grocery stores and shit. Its funny to look at menus here because even expensive restaurants seem cheap! Its like $9 for a gallon of ice cream. A can of soda is like $1.25 in the grocery store. Everything is canned. Anything "fresh" is bland or rotten and always expensive. So, now we have to find new work, new living place and figure out how to get our stuff back from Barrow. Yay! I'm just glad we kept our car!

I'm really not as pissy as all this seems. We just went on vacation and stopped by Vegas. I'm a knitting fool. I finally have high speed and I'm glad to be with my husband! Life isn't bleak. This is just a very messy time and another stepping stone in this interesting life of mine.
