I'm posting from my friend's house. This is the first time I've logged in from anywhere other than home. Weird. Anyway.... I'm watching her son while she's in labor. She's at the hospital.

Going with the theme I'm watching Baby Story. The show always pisses me off. I'm very much a natural birth advocate and the way these women are so complacent about these procedures and thinking that what they're doing is "normal" just drives me insane. Now, I know I know, its all their own personal decision but it drives me mad to see them make their own life harder. I see them getting all doped up so they can't even enjoy delivery. I know that sounds funny, but I've seen different deliveries and I'll tell you the women who deliver naturally have such a high that is just not there during medical deliveries.... And one woman, with fast deliveries felt like pushing and instead they're telling her to hold it in so she could get to the hospital. Obviously this woman is not going to have any problems (no complications in previous deliveries, very fast deliveries). I just don't understand why she didn't just go back in the house and pop that kid out. They dragged out that delivery like probably an hour. I mean, two pushes and the baby would have been out. I know, its HER choice. I just can't even begin to pretend to understand it. Its just not normal in my eyes. I just think about how they have NO idea what they're missing. Of course, everyone thinks I'm a fucking freak for me and my hippie ways wink OH well, I guess to each their own. Right?
