Thanks to everyone who left their condolences. It's been a rough time, but I will make it through.
I spent yesterday with my grandmother, who keeps a little register of who comes to visit her and on what day. Before my father and the pastor went to go tell her about my aunt, she hadn't been visited in 2 weeks. The last people who visited her were my dad, sister, and my aunt and uncle... (the aunt who just passed away)
Aside from tearing up at the loss of her "baby girl," she told us some pretty funny stories about her life as a teenager. I guess she was pretty wild when she was in her late teens... Surprising, because she was 18 when she married my Grandpa. Then again, she was a BEAUTIFUL girl. There were a few tearry moments, but.., mostly me and my baby sister just sat there and told funny family stories...
And then my grandmother tried to fix me up with the kid who does physical therapy at her nursing home.
Only my grandmother; someone dies and she's busy playing matchmaker. SaraBeth, you owe me big time for not getting your lazy ass out of bed and coming. I will personally tell embarassing stories about you tonight and tomorrow.
As previously posted... The viewing is tonight; apparently my cousin is so overwhelmed she gave me the wrong information. The viewing is at Keehns tonight, 3-5 and then 6-8. Afterwards, I am going up to Stouts for a Guinesss/Strongbow toast to her accomplishments. If you don't drink, you can raise a glass of water. I don't give a shit.
Keehn's is located at Main St (Spencer Rd) and Third St in Brighton, MI. Stouts is located at Grand River between Main and North.
Then... I am still planning on City Club. Good luck with that, because tonight will be my first time going...and I hope I can find it.
You guys are the shit. Thanks for all of your thoughts and concerns...
