I'm having one of those days when everything bizarre you can think of happening happens.
Firstly, I was informed today by my branch manager that I was one of four people in my district to get selected to be licensed to sell investments.This is very odd to me, because last I heard, my sales were not up to par (funny, I'm in the top quarter of the bankers) and licensing is NOWHERE in my career path that is supposed to take me AWAY from a sales related atmosphere. My coworkers all want to be licensed but instead I got picked... so whatever... I'll be out of my branch for 2 months and I'm actually thinking it will be good for me. The crappy part of this is 1)no commission for those two months, and I <3 my commission, and 2) I have to stay with the company, in my district, for a year, and the only way I can leave my branch is if I get promoted, which is unlikely for a number of factors I won't disclose to maintain a facade of being politically correct.
Secondly, I came home to find that a cracked out assistant manager I had a few years ago has moved into the apartment above me. There goes the neighborhood!
Thirdly, I ran into the PSYCHO branch manager that I got fired a few years ago...
what an odd day....
so, two questions for those of you reading this;
1) should I go through with the licensing?
2) what is the oddest day you've had?
