a moment of honesty through tears.
and its in times like these that all my walls keep tumbling down
falling around my huddled frame
wishing for some shelter in this torrential rain.
I stand alone.

a moment of humbleness breaks through my arrogance.
things I thought were real disappear and I focus my energy on
running
running
but I'm so out of this moment that I can't run anymore
what keeps me here, I'm not certain, but I can't seem to lay
lay this burden down and get some rest.

A moment of peace in this turmoil, please.
I can't find the truth I can't find this moment I can't change this situation I can't leave it
without undue misery.
I can't accept this I can't move from this I can simply stand like a gawker at a wreck and try to get some peace
from observing this trainwreck that is me.

A moment of perspective, perhaps, through my tunnel vision gain some periphery.
a moment of truth, perhaps.
a moment of me... in this broken palace staring out at a drained river trying to remember how
this beauty must have once looked.
