More on the beginning of an era...
Today, or more like yesterday, I quit my job.
Deep breaths.
I quit my job of two and a half years, with a sound and secure position as a supervisor, to become part of a new management program at the world's largest bank. I'm excited and scared shitless.
A new era in my life... because I don't know how this is going to go. To boil it down to the pure necessities, I quit my job for the following reasons:
1. I will make about 2k more a year
2. I will make far more commission.
3. It reduces my commute from 27 miles one way to... 2 miles one way, saving me a large amount of money on gas.
So really, a no brainer? Earlier this year I took a 1400/quarter paycut due to commission restructuring, rendering me extremely broke.
Here's the thing: I love my job. I love my coworkers. I love my customers. I love my managers.
And I'm leaving.
So... this is a new era of opportunity for me. I've seized it, and who knows what lies ahead....
