Guys, I know there is a lot going on right now as far as events and birthdays and your normal Friday night plans, but...

I am going to a poetry slam at the Meetery Eatery in Downtown Detroit tonight... There is a STRONG possibility that I will be reading. (i.e, I don't know how booked they are going to be, but you will probably hear at least one from me). Poetry slams are more 8 Mile-esque rap battles than the cheesy sit around with hand drums and berets. It should be a lot of fun, but I haven't done one in about 6 or 7 years and I am scared beyond belief to go up against people who have won national competitions reading their stuff. If you want to come down and support me, I'd really appreciate it. Or you can come down and boo me off the stage with the rest of em.

I had a ton of fun at the I Lounge with you guys last night... kira was an awesome bartender and of course soooo much more, and braddn did an awesome job dj'ing. I can't wait for next Thursday.
