As my first 24 hours have come to pass of me being finished with the military, I realize that I am a little happier. I will surely miss my friends, miss my placement of responsibility, but I am glad to finally be finished after 7 long years. Granted, here, I am somebody and now I have to get used to just being nobody again, but I will survive. I adapt, that is who I am.
Tomorrow I head to Venice to crash there overnight, then the next morning it is off to Sicily. Since I learned of being Sicilian, I have dreamed of going to where my family comes from. Now I will even go to the exact cities where my family came from in the early 1900's. And with my travel companion being a guido, I will do just fine in getting around. I was scared that my Italian language skills would not be enough to get me around the island, its like the difference between people from Boston to people from hickville Alabama, I would never get anywhere, so I invited my good friend and we will wine and dine and take lots of pictures. Hopefully I can come back again and again but once in the normal world travelling may prove to be difficult as you dont as many long vacations as we do in the military.
So, I'm off. I will be in the states come the 13th, hopefully I can get on here again soon afterwards to see my massive amount of friends on here that wished my good luck in my travels and endevours.... yeah, right. Bye Europe, I will miss you.
