I went to see Murder By Death last friday, and goddamn am I glad I made it to the show! Really great fucking live band, definitely as good as you've heard they are.
Only complaint was probably the length of the set, which was about 30 minutes (they were opening for International Noise Conspiracy). I had actually asked Sarah (the cellist) before the set how long they were playing, and she told me about 40 minutes. She asked me if that was ok and I just kinda shrugged. I was actually hoping they'd play everything off both albums and the split single along with Pink Floyd's "The Wall" in its entirity start to finish, but I just decided to say "yeah thats cool" and be happy for what I was getting.
Speaking of Sarah, she was a real sweetheart and an absolute pleasure to speak with, not to mention an ASTOUNDING performer. Plays her cello with more intensity than most hardcore/metal guitarists. Plus she plays an Iron Maiden cello!

Enough of my gushing though. I really enjoyed the show and can not wait for another oppurtunity to see them perform again. If anyone has the chance to check out their show you should definitely do so. My sister Kim went having never heard them, and she ended walking out with a CD and t-shirt! I urge you, let them convert you as well!
