I was Tokyo again last week. I love that city:
There aren't too many places in the world where, in the middle of modernity, you can find something old:
And how about this for a view of central Tokyo (Marunouchi) you might not expect:
In the middle of a heatwave, the hotel restaurant has a sign telling you how cold the beer is:
On my last night there, I sat in an outdoor bar in a street in Ginza for about 6 hours, drank beer and watched the world go by. I talked to a cute Japanese girl called Maiko and discovered that my Japanese lessons have been paying off - I can communicate in a kind of Jeglish that will get me by.
My tiger is roaring again. Not sure what to do about it:
