I recognize that the previous post was an inordinately long and cavilling one so, with the nearly-illiterate and blindly-optimistic in mind, I daydream about the events tomorrow:

I will sleep in and liesurely and not-at-all obsessively get ready for the night ahead of me.
I'm going to the comedy club tomorrow night and the Lion and the Rose so, if all goes as it should and never does, there will be much laughing and snacking.
Oh, there will be snacking.
I'm already salivating at the possibilities. Hummus, Roasted Tomato, Vegan Curry
Each of these things is so addictive that I'm not sure what to get. Maybe I'll just nosh on tomatos and hummus so I can be stingy with the hummus. Mine!

Another positive:
My Pandora finally popped up Pixies "Where is my mind" and I'm practically soiling myself with joy.
Apropos "falling down stairs" day song. (If you didn't read the previous post, you won't understand this designation and I would be the last to wantonly bust up some ignorance.)

As for tomatoes, I am also usually skeptical of cooked tomatoes (or cooked fruit in general) but these are roasted lightly enough that the outside is slightly blackened and the inside is not mushy and disgusting. They put herbs and junk all over the thing and the bastards inspire worship. I've tried since to recreate the process to fail miserably not unlike my futile attempt to recreate the cucumber onion salad I had in Mexico (also worthy of temples.)
The moral of the story: that shit is good, you must try it.

It's broiled not roasted. I'm not sure that the difference isn't nominal but I thought I should correct myself lest someone eat a roasted tomato and call me a liar. They put garlic on them and blacken it which makes it appear roasted (to my ignorant eyeballs.) I usually loathe garlic so they do a damn good job of getting me to eat not only a cooked tomato but a buttload of garlic. Everyone in my group ordered the tomatoes and it became pretty humorous "what would you like for your side?" "TOMATOES!" They're a hit.
