Years and years, tears and tears. Right now, it's just another year, and right now these are just some tears. Did you know that it's good to cry sometimes? Did you know that it's good for you? It's good to let it go. Purging your emotions into tangible drops of refreshing life. Tears are about life. Life is about feelings. Feelings are about people. People, it's about time to cry.

I think I remember every single time in my life when I had a "real" cry. They're always about someone else. Maybe it's someone you know, maybe it's someone you don't know, maybe it's someone you love.

Tonight in my case it's about hope. It's about believing. I swear I just watched a stupid silly movie that was mostly predictable and is the kind of thing I'm only seeing because it's on cable. It was far fetched and lame. It was the same pile of cinematic dung I've been getting a good strong whiff of for years. It was all those things but I kept watching. I guess I had to know how it ended. It was like how I thought it would be. Then why did it bring tears down my face?

It's the magic of movies you know? You see a reunion, or a kiss, or a goodbye and it turns your emotions like a merry go round. We can relate to it. We've had kisses that lasted for days. We've had goodbyes that have lasted for months. We aren't privy to see these things happen to most of the other people. That's where movies come in. That's where songs become more than notes. That's where books become more than words.

They become just like us... a collection of moments. That's what we are. That's how we move, moment to moment. That's where wisdom and aging matter. That's how we know we exist sometimes. That's how we know we're the same. We all cry... they're just tears. Mine are no different than yours. But what's behind them is so wonderful, beautiful and unique.
