Another day, another dollar... too bad gas now costs well more than 2 of them. If only we could explore new energy sources, and lessen this reliance on oil for our daily survival. I'm not driving now and one of the primary reasons why is gas prices. I live close enough to the stores, work, gym, etc.

If only cars could run on coffee. You'd pull up to the Starbucks and look at the pump: regular, decaf or french roast. I don't know how many days I feel like I made it through on coffee. If coffee can fuel the complex human body through an 8 hour day, well dammit it should be able to fuel your less complex vehicle.

I have this great fear that we will be completely dependent on gas until the last possible moment without exploring any new avenues of energy generation.

This is an interesting site in regards to getting free from oil and depending on ourselves to fuel Americans: Apollo Alliance

How do you feel about any or all of this?

The Apollo Alliance looks really interesting, but I like your plan better. smile Yay coffee! But Starbucks would probably be premium fuel, and Dunkin Donuts would be the stuff cheapos like me would put in their cars. I don't drive becauase of the prices, and because Boston traffic scares me. And because now apparently a CV joint is having issues and until I fix it there is the danger that if I drive I will be stranded...or dead. shocked

Yeah, SG is pretty therapeutic! It's a supportive, attentive community. And while most would argue the level of its maturity, it beats almost every other internet community on that too. But you know that already.
