Ever go through a day with a blah attitude? You know, like you just don't care about anything. I went through my Thursday routine of work and the gym, but there was no passion. Sure I worked hard at both places and now I am drained, but I also feel like I cashed it in real early today.

I don't usually have 2 days in a row like this, because let's face it, every day is different. Plus I suppose I transform (I'm an Autobot by the way) into proactive Eddie and change something immediately, even if it's something which would seem completely insignificant.

For instance, tomorrow is Friday and on Friday I usually work a 10-12 hour day. I think I'll start my day tomorrow with a treat. I think I'll pick up some caffeinated beverage on the way in. I usually do O.J. in the mornings, but I'll shake it up a little tomorrow. I know what you're thinking, wow, what's gotten into Eddie, but I assure you I'm fine. wink

I also usually go with a juicy steak on Good Friday, but maybe I'll do something different for dinner too. You see, when I was younger I was rebellious (big surprise). I never did things because I was told I had to. So many years ago, back in my college radio days, I decreed that Good Friday would henceforth be known in my circle as Good Steak Friday, and a half dozen of us wacky DJs went out for steaks and beer. That's when I discovered Newcastle (great beer!). Why'd I do this? Because I was told to do something else.

So the new tradition was born and every year since whether alone or not steak was on my plate. Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against God. I have a few close friends who are religious, but me I'm more agnostic. I often think logically, a concept religious is often at odds with. I truly hope there is a God and I hope he is forgiving smile but until it can be proven to me, I cannot believe it.

The point I think is I don't have a need to be rebellious just because anymore. I need to grow and evolve. Routines grow tiresome to me, both daily ones and even annual ones.

So I'm gonna have a flavored coffee and no steak tomorrow and take a step in a wonderful new direction.

It's the little things that make life so grand don't you think?

Hope you have a nice, relaxing holiday. If you feel like i do with the past week, then we'll both need some laying around time!!! Flavored coffee? Do you really like it? Sorry, i've become, i hate to admit, a bit of a coffee snob and well flavored coffee just doesn't have the same, beautful, rich, brown, roasted flavor as regular coffee. But i don't judge so if you like the flavor, then i'll just have to accept it. smile
