This anticipation is my favorite part
A mind that wanders, closed eyes to see
Reflections of premonitions, but unmistakable
in their complete lack of originality
The tapping of feet, the sips of time
In between sips, the quiver of lips
The air grows thick, the tongue flaps quick
One after another as if by design
Loosening my thoughts, so I can breathe
Days spent thinking, hours spent hoping
minutes spent shrinking, seconds spent coping
Tomorrow will appeal to a plethora of dreams
The beginning at hand, I've escaped, I'm free
So far from nowhere, I only wish I could stay
Who needs white or black with an abundance of Grey
Smirking or smiling as I drift patiently
Doing nothing is everything I hoped it could be
I call this scribbling "Saturday on Friday". I wrote it in a little less than 5 minutes earlier today during a break from work.
The weekend is here, I can't wait to do nothing for 2 whole days.
