I find myself overcome with trying to obtain amazing xmas gifts for friends and loved ones. I can't give someone 1 gift because the second I buy them something, I find something else that would be perfect also and of course I buy it, and everyone I'm shopping for is getting something like 3 or 4 gifts apiece.
It's gotten so bad and expensive that I put my money on lockdown for this week. I'm reminded of 2 movie quotes at this time: "Take only what you need to survive!" and "With no more money you can cause no more mischief" spoken by Prince Lonestar to Princess Vespa and from Prince Akeem to Semi respectively. Ha, 2 quotes from 2 Princes, and I've been listening to a lot of Prince at work this week... hmmm. More on him later.
I often find myself bending over backwards and forwards to help out friends and family. If I were in a mob family, I think I'd be Eddie the Ear because I'm always willing to listen to someone talk about whatever they need to talk about for however long it takes.
It makes me wonder... what was the last thing I really did for myself. I mean reeeallly did 4 myself. Buying myself ice cream or new body wash doesn't count. I'm talking special things here, and damn if I can't remember one.
