What is this, the fucking crusades? God is popping up everywhere lately, and it's being forced on us all. God had a large hand in our recent election, God is playing a big role in the bloodshed right now in the "holy land" that we have stuck our noses into. God truly is all around us.
God is invading our lives, it seems more than before, because of who is in power. I've got no beef with anyone who believes what they want to believe, but keep it to your damn self. It has no place in politics, school, or any other public forum where it is being forced upon others who do or do not share those beliefs. Isn't this why the early Americans left England in the first fucking place? To escape religious control, to be free? I'm getting really sick of it.
I think that in the course of history, more people have died in the name of God than for any other reason. Doesn't that make you think that religion has no place in government, or in foreign policy? How can you truly make objective decisions that need to be made based on science, logic, or fact when God is in the way... and yes I'm talking about gay marriage too. Why the hell does anybody care if 2 people want to get married? This uproar seems so 80 years ago... you know like when it was a great injustice if an interracial marriage took place (which by the way is how I came to be). How can people in this country fix all the problems in their own lives when they are so worried about what is going on in other peoples'.
So Bush wants to "define" marriage as a union that takes place between a man and woman. What's next, are they going to define love too? It is the determination of this court that you never really loved Carole. Why don't you think about fixing this economy or doing something with health care and stop speaking with God's words and use ones that apply to almost everyone instead of 51% of us.
God is great for your family, for yourself, but not for everyone. There is no place in public forum for deeply driven morals rooted in something that cannot be proven to be true. I realize I'm in the minority here, but I think we are seriously heading down a dangerous path and I'm truly afraid of what lies ahead.

i totally agree. im very afraid for your country and what that idiot is going to do in the next four years.
anyway, as far as god goes for me, my religious belief happen to be "non-mainstream" and, in large part, can be supported by science. every thing in the universe has its own unique energy.......
