Come on, who loves that song??!!??!! I haven't seen the video but I just imagine these 2 guys walking around in huge black framed 80s sun glasses and bright t-shirts groovin' to the vibe of their own universe. Yeah, I'm a peepin tom techy with x ray eyes!
I don't know if it's this cup of Jade Oolong Tea I'm drinking (Loooooooooovvveee that TEA!) or what the heck is going on but it's just great to be GREAT hahaha, okay do I sound like a weirdo yet???
Anywho, like a ton of people's birthdays are in July and August! Tons of my fiends, tons of my family, my boyfriend's, my manager's, my mentor's, my sex-slave's..... (oh my god, did I just say that???) hehehe, that's an official term... I also have a lot of Aries friends (late March-April for the Astrologically ignorant) and a lot of Aquarius (late January-Feb) friends. I don't even know why I have Aquarius friends! We're nothing alike. But they're all artists, and visionaries at that!
I'm in present mode, and by 'present' mode I mean both an awareness of the 'here and now' and the pressing concern to find gifts for all my friends with late July and August birthdays. I'm going to buy my brother a fine loose leaf tea kit, tea ball, glazed ceramic mug, a stunning assortment of quality teas and all! And for my mother, I've been envisioning this painting, I wanted to do it on a wine crate so that I could have the insignia of the wine company on the wood side panels, and perhaps showing through the background of the painting. The image will be comprised of two photos, one of myself and one of my brother in profile, back to back, perhaps heads conjoined siamese style, transferred onto the panel. Then I would apply dried leaves to the background in some sort of acid-trip inspired pattern (my mom loves nature) and apply pressed flowers to the surface, coming from our mouths. Add color with thinned oil paint, and cover the in beeswax, a technique called Encaustic. maybe add some other flourishes.. whatever, but I think my mom would really like it. The rents are moving north, so it would also be a going away present.. ya know!
Well anyway, just hoping to spread so well deserved CHEER to my SG compadres.
