Good morning everyone, Or afternoon, or whenever you happen to glance this way and look at what I have to say.
I'm so thrilled. Josh *the roomate* went out with his parents yesterday, and he brought me home chocolate raspberry layer cake from Rose's. Jeebus, it's just mean. I didn't get a chance to have any last night, since I was on my way out, but damn, breakfast was yummy!
Yesterday was fun, I got to go out with my friend Annie. We went all the way to salem for a "portland at large" gathering. It is pretty much a gathering for plus sized women to hang out, meet friends, possibly dates... i dunno. Regardless of the group's true intent, I had a great time. Annie met someone from her high school days, which was cool. I got to meet a whole bunch of people I normally wouldn't meet. I did feel a little out of place. Annie is twenty seven, and I am twenty five, I assume her friend from high school was about the same age. Then add ten years for most of the rest of the group. I felt really young, added to that is that i dress really young. I think some people didn't want to talk to me for fear that I wasn't legal.
I love that. damn you pig-tails, you really didn't help my case last night. Add to that, I was the only one with an edge to my style, and it was all down hill from there. Well not technically, annie has a great edgy style, she rocks my socks, but she is still more pretty than punk.
I had a great time though. It's really rare that I meet a group of people I can be comfortable with. It was pretty cool. The drive there and back was the most fun for me. That and going to the mall before hand.
We found great deals on panties and bras at lane bryant, so that pretty much rocked our socks. so now I have some more get-up and go in my closet. Which was needing a little pep, even if next-to-no one gets to see them.
Well Life is good on the old ranch so here's my questions of the day.
Do you like to meet new people, or does it make you really nervous?
Do you belong to any groups, like a knitting circle, or a band, etc?
What was the last article of clothing you bought for yourself?
That about does it. Have fun everyone! it's the weekend, get out and enjoy yourselves.
