It has been so damn hot here, I really need to invest in some shorts. Now I never wear shorts, I think I look very weird in them, but I just don't give a shit anymore. I have no problem with skirts, in fact I wear them all the time, but shorts make me look funny

You better just get some shorts. Be practical. You don't want to end up butt-naked in the vegetable section at the supermarket.
