just when you stop looking / something drops in your lap unexpected / i had convinced myself that leslie had burned away anything that was left of my heart after the long road finally broke down in december / nevertheless as i sat around the party on friday night a fiery red head caught my attention with a smile & a laugh that no man could resist / i shoke it off and continued to focus on smoking my weed / she came over anyway / sat there and proceeded to capture my attention as she began to tell me about herself / what seemed like minutes turned to hours / hours turned into days as she asked me to give her a ride home / it was over two days later that i returned to my own bed where the aforementioned emotions were doomed to do their work
