i've worked 13 days in a row, and i'm fucking over it. i took tomorrow off, because i need a day to clear my head before the madness starts again.
i met with the producer today and saw the studio. it's got a 24 channel neve board (with 12 channel sidecar) - from NBC studios, c. '71. it's beautiful. nice mics, too. he runs it all to protools, but i think that i'll be able to get him to dump that onto 2" tape and then back again. he seems willing to experiment and very up for having fun.
so i'm thinking about all that and working on songs in my head and on paper tonight. i think i'm gonna buy another mic tomorrow - or something to get a better accoustic guitar sound out of what i've already got.
that - and i think i'm gonna make the leap and get a cell phone tomorrow. times are fast. gotta do it. i've never had one before, so it should be interesting.
