Day five.

Worked a double today. Second shift was long and exhausting. Got home late, and I'm spent.

Took a nap between shifts and had a dream: Bruce & Nicole showed up downstairs, bags in hand, from out of nowhere, planning on staying with me. It was great to see them. Bruce gave me the longest, most heartfelt hug. I was as surprised as I was touched. I remember thinking that it was good that I'd just cleaned the house and how there was probably more than enough space for them to stay a while, now that I live here alone. I was just figuring out how to approach telling them that Traci & I had broken up when the alarm went off.

That's all I have time for. Got another double lined up for tomorrow, and it's already way past my bedtime.

Kelli messaged me today, telling me that you two had chatted past 2am last night. Neither of you could sleep. Then she asked me what our holiday plans were. She took the news well. Then we talked politics, believe it or not.

I miss joking with you, and I miss your laugh.
