+++++++++++++ SUKI CAME BACK!!! +++++++++++
i got up from my computer this morning and walked into my washroom...and there she was - with her back to me, sitting on the windowsill and looking out into the courtyard below. she turned to look at me as i entered. i was in shock, and said her name as if to make sure that it was really her. she meowed back at me and hopped down from the windowsill to the back of the toilet tank. she's sitting in my lap right now, purring away as i type this.
it'd been 12 days since she'd disappeared. no sign of her at animal control or any of the clinics/humane societies. i was sure that i'd never see her again...and now, here she is.

in other news:
i just had a visit from a faraway lover. things have been very strained between us for the last 9 months - and this visit came without much notice. there is a calm after the storm, it seems. we spent the weekend skirting the damage and just enjoying each other's presence. we each have our own ways of dealing with pain, and i've learned that they are very different, and sometimes conflicting. so, will we pick up the pieces or will we simply build something new from the rubble...i can't say. but we'll meet again in september. we'll both be very busy until then.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
and finally:
i noticed that in my absence this weekend, i was temporarily usurped from my lofty position by a finnish faery ninja. so...someone has an appetite that can only be sated by gods, faeries, octopi, and incubi - i can think of none so deserving of the company, and services, of such lofty lovers.
so, dear succubus - here's to when next we meet. may my eight-armed offerings be rewarded with a splash.

How I ended up in ol' Lawrence... I'm actually from Canada, met my husband on line (of course, he was not my husband back then!), fell in love, and the rest is, well, you know. We're actually both ready to move on, but haven't decided where to go. What made you move to CA?
And I understood the translation, I just thought it was funny how it translated. But the point was clear. J'aime en levrette aussi.
