Today I start planning for my sabbatical to Sweden.

I have pretty much been guaranteed approval by my employer. Now I am left with a few major things to get accomplished inthe next 4-5 mo.

1) Start taking classes to learn Swedish - people say this is pretty easy because structurally the language is the same. Even though english is taught to everyone there - I refuse to go to someone elses country expecting them to speak my native language.... that is rude.

2) Find people online that live in Stockholm - so I am not lost when I get there. Preferably people with the same interests... preferably female (wishing) hahah who knows.

3) Save up money... I figure I can have 6-8k saved by travel time easily - not that I'll need it all. However,I want to be comfy while there.

4) Renew my passport - update it etc.

I'd like to take a 90 day sabbatical... however in reality I am thinking 45 is more realistic. Who knows - it all depends what the powers that be will allow.

Also - I am having a competition with some freinds on HOTORNOT.COM... its for $20... so uh if you see my pic (same one here) vote.
