Saturday, oh Saturday.......
Hello all my SG peeps!
I slept in til' 2pm. I shouldn't have eaten that Del Taco last night after our show. Heartburnnnnnnnnnnnnn. I downed about 1/2 a bottle of Maalox before I finally fell asleep at 4am.
Finally got to see "Ringu". I liked it a lot.
Many of its elements are in "The Ring", along with a lot of cool surprises. The special effects are better in "The Ring", but this version is equally as creepy. I don't want to spoil it, so I advise you to rent it before someone else tells you about it. The one thing I will say is that at the end of this version, the continued existence of the tape is explained, unlike "The Ring", that left people debating over it. There's supposedly two or three sequels in Japan. It's only a matter of time we'll get 'em here. Oh yeah, there's some cute Japanese chicks too.....Sayonara....
The other DVD I got was "Uncle Saddam." EXCELLENT!
One of the Kids in the Hall wrote the narration. It's like a twisted version of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, with real footage snuck out of Iraq. Sad and amazing all at the same time, this is real shock and awe....
I'm looking forward to House of 1,000 Corpses, but I don't have high expectations. I'm a big Fulci fan, and love Zombies, but ??????? We'll see....
The Transplants were awesome as were the Foo Fighters. I'm not really into Emo, but The Special Goodness was cool.
Okay, I guess it's time to get out of bed now. Enough rest. Showtime is about 3 hrs. away......
Think I'll check out Kiscica now.......peace.
