Ron Paul for GOP Primaries in November
Im a 6 year Navy veteran and I am supporting Ron Paul not only as the best option for the November GOP primaries, but likely as the best option for the 2012 race. I am not ready to support Obama in winning another term to serve us a warmed over version of the same bullshit. But more importantly, Ron Paul will cut the legs from under the GOP establishment AS WELL as elevate the debate in the 2012 presidential race to levels not seen since?
I do not agree with Ron Paul on many fronts but I do agree with him on three key points I see as existential threats to the longevity of the United States.
1- Rampant militarism
2- Screwy monetary policy
3- Massive ungovernable government
Where I diverge with Mr. Paul I am comforted by his belief that the government has not the power to assert itself into the private lives of Americans. If anything he will usher a rise in self-reliance, which as petroleum becomes ever more scarce, were going to need all we can get.
A little closer to home, my little brother shipped out to Afghanistan yesterday. Obama is clearly not giving two shits about Americans in harms way. This is my brothers second middle east deployment and I want a Commander in Chief who is dead serious about getting them the hell out of there.
