Good morning LA tongue

Feeling quite lonely without my friends here so I'm doing a bit of posting smile
I'm also having American culture shock - crazy stuff. Lots of sugary food (that has put me on a heath kick for sheer craving of healthy food), cute accents and things.

I'm in no way a homebody, more of a wanderer and a 'run off and set up home somewhere new' person usually. So homesickness isn't usually a thing for me. I do miss British stuff, going to the pub then the chip shop with my friends... drinking good coffee, eating good good chocolate... but not enough to go back to my crazy tech support job, however nicely paid I was and how fun tech guys are smile

My mission statement in LA is to have a good look about. I moved here on a whim, not knowing anyone. It's weirdly hard to meet people if you're not working or going to school. I'm here till January, being a bit of an alien on a visitor visa. I'm looking for work in animation, hence coming to LA. I'm having my first Hollywood lunch with a guy tomorrow to talk things over, wish me luck! I did my roots and fixed my fave dress especially, lol wink

I am a big lover of Doctor who, Torchwood and Life on Mars, and am delighting in introducing unsuspecting americans them. I also love tattoos, I was going o get more ink from Dan, my fave artist, but came here before I had time, so I'm scouting somewhere to get some work done soon. Suggestions welcome!

I love writing, too. I'm working on a novel and two scripts, and love to muse with other writers, especially over good coffee!!

Hi to everyone American shaped that has said hi to me in the last couple of days
xxx

I had similer culture shock in England. It was a thousand times more different than I thought it would be. You can find Englishy things, you just have to know where to look. I don'd know LA very well so I can't help you. You will prefer San Fransisco, I think.

I have less shock in France, odd.

There I was thinking you were full of busy, and you're getting felt up by Jack Sparrow! You'll soon get used to it there - and will have a cool time kiss
