Wow, I think I just officially became the man of the house. I just fixed the garbage disposal (which had been not working for over a week) AND lit the pilot light in the heater....and it's been fucking cold for quite some time now. All within 5 minutes of each other.

All that after having met up with my best girlfriends. It's lovely what a...

Is there really not a lot to watch on all these cable Television channels? Or is it because I don't normally watch TV, so I don't know what the titles of the shows are, maybe I should give something unknown a chance.

I have managed to amuse myself with this built-in camera in my computer, not too shabby for this time of night I'd say.

Please write another journal so I can comment on it!!
campbell:
Yeah just give something random a chance, thats what I do.
haha.
sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

history channel, discovery, cartoons, food tv, fashion, and espn are always winners in one way or another.

I always thought it'd be good to have a mechanic in the family. I'm changing my tune: I want an Air Conditioner fixer in the family.

Happy birthday.

I was stuck in London for a week in 100 degree heat.

except there they DON"T HAVE A/C it doesn't exist!

imagine no buildings, movie theaters, etc. to go hide in

you could always escape to the movie theaters and see my movie Who Killed the Electric Car?
balboa:

My favorite parts of Summer, in no particular order:

-My Birthday (ok, maybe this is at the top for a reason)
-Laying on the beach in the sun.
-Playing on the beach at night.
-Fireworks.
-Night swimming.
-Cherries.
-Ice cream cones.
-Sprinklers and running through them.
-Skirts.

i hate how i don't live near a beach. i live right on a river, which is nice because i like being near water in general. but i need a beach! i will have beach action at the end of august and i can't wait. ooo aaa

happy early birthday! kiss

I'm officially old (though I really don't think so). I attended my high school reunion last night....if you can really call it that.
I'm such a Valley Girl that my high school reunion was a bunch of people getting together in a bar....which was in a MALL, next store to a movie theater. Priceless.

We don't have reunions over here... well, some really really posh schools do, but mostly they don't. Although, a few old school friends found me on MySpace and it freaked me out when they mentioned it'd been 8 years since I last saw them surreal

I was totally fascinated by the Valley Girl thing when I was in LA last year biggrin
vaughannegut:
yeah...i'm starting to feel like i could be called old any day now. kinda weird.

i never went to my reunion. i never really liked the folks i went to high school with so i didn't see the point in going. a buddy of mine did and he told me all the sordid details...who's got kids/got married/got fat/skinny...blah, blah. he also said it was a pissing contest of sorts with everyone trying to flaunt there accomplishments. i'm still glad i didn't go.

valley girls...hmmm...

A huge benefit of being required to look through hundreds...probably more like thousands... of pictures of hott naked women is that I think I've finally come to a conclusion on my favorite SuicideGirls. I've put them in alphabetical order, as I really don't like having favorites, but since there's a space for it, i figured I'd participate.

Next up: that wishlist thing...with my Birthday coming...

In keeping with my food themed journal entires I'd like to give a shout out to Whole foods market....not for all the wonderful healthy and organic food they supply, but rather for the one item which rocked my world this weekend: The raisinless honey-bran muffin.

Warmed up with some Vanilla Bean ice cream it's quite a tasty treat.

What's your favorite treat?

Unbelieveable!

You can bake a bowl of cake in the Microwave!!!

You put the powder in the bowl, add water and microwave for only a minute, and it's not so bad.

And yet, no seedless lemons.

I would just like to note how wonderfully easy it is to make a cake (please forgive me any dessert chefs out there). I'm talkin: pour the powder out of the box, add eggs, oil and water, mix, pour, bake and enjoy so very very much!

I love cake!

Especially good old yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Dee-licious!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Zak said to leave you a note for recommendations for his octopus shirts... I'd request that there's hopefully a men's shirt among them.. preferably in one of the full color options. Thanks.
squid_vicious:
I would like to second the request for a men's octopus shirt. I look really bad in tiny little girly shirts.
