I need to spark my creativity. I certainly am not getting it so much working as a security guard. Yeserday I had to patrol a shopping center near Middle River and my key responsibility was asking tweeners not to skateboard there.
Ugh. I became the enemy even if just for a day.
It wasn't a constant battle, so there was plenty of time to read some Tom Robbins and the City Paper. I got a sketch idea or two from talking with my girlfriend (Atlantis).
Maybe the biggest idea came from reading the reviews of the new movies, books, and shows that inspired me. I really want to start a creative writing group, like my own circle of creative people.
I'm going to post something on CraigsList. I want to meet with 2-4 other people at Toki Sushi and share writing assignments, throw around ideas and get loaded on sushi and Japanese beer. I'll probably get stuck with some kid that writes sad poetry though.
