Man, so out of no where, somebody I went to college with emails me today to see if I can help him get a job down here. The thing is I've really only talked to this person maybe once before, he was one of those friends of a friend, that I knew who he was, but didn't really know him. Its just kinda odd, because I'm in no position to really be involved in who gets hired or not (actually I rarely even know they are looking for people until they've already been hired and are about to start) and even if I was wouldn't I try to help out my friends get jobs with me before some random person I went to school with. I mean I went to art school, 95% of the people I went to school with are doing something related to what I'm doing, its not like he was one of the few people I went to school with that is interested in the industry. He's a nice enough guy and everything so I told him I'd find out what we are looking for and get back to him and I gave him some advice on what are some other ways to break into the industry. So really I did all I could for him.

I guess the cool things is, it was just another reminder how cool my job is, but I already knew that.
