sids. suddend infant death syndrome. its just one of the first things you learn to worry about with your child. almost every time she is sleeping when i check on her i make sure there is a slight movement so that i know she is breathing.... or i poke her to get a reaction. I dont know anyone i would care about loseing more then my daughter audrey.

tonight im watching her while my wife is at work. I do days in construction and she does nights at starbucks, she is amazing. also, tonight my daughter decided that she wants to sleep on her stomach or at the least on her side. I usually sleep on my side... sids is signifiantly more likely if the infant is sleeping on their stomach, but despite my best efforts she keeps moving back to the aformentioned positions. Im not 100 percent sure that this is the right thing to do, but I decided that I will allow her to sleep however she wants. eventually one day im going to have to let her go to little people school without me being around, then eventually highschool. Im going to let her go off with her friends somewhere in there and one day she will leave me calling herself an adult, hopefully being correct in the self title. I cant be in control of all my daughers decisions, perhaps she will make some bad ones where i dont have the fortune to let her out into the world to fend for herself. I cant control things to make everything happon, and even if i did i am sure i would be reluctant to use it if i took the time to think about it.

so she sleeps how she wants to sleep, i plan on waking up to her in the morning.
