i haven't updated my journal in a while, but somebody actually cared enough to read my last entry so i thought i'd post another. so here's what's on my mind recently. med school starts in two weeks, and i'm NERVOUS. i've worked my whole life to get this far, but now i'm not sure if i'm cut out for a life as a doctor. suppose i fail out in the first year? suppose i actually become a doctor and i kill somebody, suppose i become a doctor and i just hate it. my three best friends just moved down to nicaragua to start a community center. i really wanted to go with them, but couldn't becasue of school. am i throwing away the best years of my life. i'm just not sure. somebody told me that anything that is truly worth it never comes easy. if i follow that logic then i know medical school won't be easy, but does that mean its worth it ? i don't know, i guess i'm just more nervous than anything else. HELP ME, what should i do?

yes, you should definitely do the peace corps thing. i've had two friends go to Africa with the peace corps, they loved every minute of it.
