James and I have been enjoying our vacation. We've taken a week off and have spent it sleeping in and going out to eat. On Saturday and Sunday we went to Kumoricon. We didn't dress up or do many of the activities, besides the teddybear "felting". That mostly involved stabbing a teddybear repeatedly for hours. That was FU-UN!
I bought sewing stuff at Josephine's Dry Goods because I want to make stuffed animals, (more teddybears that I can stab!). I've mostly been making a muslin mess, but I'm learning. I haven't sewn a stitch in about ten years.
We hit up Powell's on Wednesday, went to the Camalia Lounge folllowed by First Thurdsay at Compound. I got my nose pierced at Robot. I was extremely nervous. The piercer, Jon was really nice. He put me at ease right away. The actual piercing was MUCH LESS painful than expected. But it was more exprensive than I thought it would be.
I made a call to work today to tell my boss about my new addition, he said that I'd have to get a less noticeable stud while it heals, so James and I are probably going back to Robot today.
Tomorrow we're going on a beach trip with some friends. Mostly the trip is an excuse to go to a dinner that serves a steak between two slices of garlic bread.
We've spent way too much money. We were planning on going to Body Worlds 3 today, but I'm broke. We'll probably do that next weekend-- after pay day.
