Hello hello, thank you all for the nice messages, I promise to reply as soon as I'm not sitting in a uni computer lab with people diligently working around me wondering why I'm looking at a porn site (sorry, sorry, it's not porn, it's "art" yadda yadda).

I've done all the safe mode stuff, and uninstalled everything unnecessary, and deleted mountains of photos and music so that it has all the space in the world, also defragged and compressed files as best I could when it kept switching off every 10 minutes, I think, in technical terms, it's basically fucked. It's old and clapped out and hasn't been working properly for about a year anyway. I could probably get it fixed enough to run merrily for a few more months before it goes bonkers again, but instead I've called in early birthday and xmas presents and my mum has said she'll find me a nice new one that doesn't already hate me. I'll fix the broken one when I have the heart to do it.

I still have no house for next year but I have found a place for over summer so I have ages to find somewhere now. Plus one of my friends has said that they still don't have a house and there's already 5 of them so I can move in with them if I like (tempted but also a little worried, as one of them is a girl and I've only met her once or twice and she seems the territorial 'grrr get away from my men' type).

I am going to the Kerrang thing tomorrow in London, so see you there if you're going
